Poker For Cancer

Each Wednesday evening you can play poker AND help ICARE (International Cancer Alliance for Research and Education)

The Lions-ICARE Partnership directly helps local cancer patients and their doctors connect with cutting-edge researchers for their type of cancer.

Mt. Airy Net

Mt. Airy Net is more than just a local food back for our neighbors in need. They take the time to help one-on-one with the difficulties the individuals are having.

One simple way to help is collect clean plastic grocery bags. These bags are needed to distribute the donated food.

Bring in bags or other donations to the next meeting.

Eyeglass Donations

Lion Betty Fandel heads up the eyeglass donation program. Contact her for more information at bettyfandel@verizon.net.

Need a donation box for your work? Betty can help.

Have a pair you don't use anymore? Bring them to the next meeting. (Even sunglasses.)

Did you know Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers clean, sort, and determine the strengh of each pair? They are then given out when eye care professionals perform vision screenings around the world.
